Wimp is an artist based in Tokyo, Japan. She graduated from Tama University of Art with a degree in Information Design and then completed her MA in the Department of Intermediate Art at Tokyo University of Arts.
She produces work on the theme of "ghosts" and "loops", focusing on the identity of characters in animation and fables, and the changes that occur each time a story is told. She works mainly with paint, but also with three-dimensional works, videos and various other media.
