"This series is set in Medieval Europe. I created the works based on the theme of common practices from the Middle Ages (makeup, clothing, medicine, and the class system) that seem strange when viewed from the perspective of today's advances in science and thought.
For example, all the characters have white faces in this works because people in the Middle Ages placed a lot of value on fair skin, and the upper classes had the strange habit of rubbing white lead or mercury on their faces.
I hope you enjoy the artwork while imagining the personalities behind the pictures."
